Carmen joined Genesis in 2025 as an experienced accounting professional with 15 years of diverse expertise spanning government, commercial, and non-profit sectors. Throughout her career, Carmen has held various roles, including Controller and Lead Accountant, where she developed a strong background in audit and assurance, honing a keen attention to detail that has become a hallmark of her work.

Her experience encompasses a wide range of accounting functions, with a particular focus on government contract accounting, which has provided her with a solid foundation in compliance and regulatory requirements. In addition to her accounting expertise, Carmen has a unique background in Global Affairs, which sparked her interest in tax accounting and continues to drive her passion for the field.

Carmen is currently working toward becoming a CPA, a goal that aligns with her commitment to professional growth and providing the highest standard of financial expertise. Carmen’s well-rounded skill set, combined with her strong work ethic and dedication to continuous learning, make her an asset in any accounting team.
